This is my first time posting an interview experience, a newbie trying to survive, please excuse my poor performance. The interviewer was HM, not Chinese, not Indian, not American, seemed more like a European? My first impression was quite neutral; he went straight to the point and asked me to write two relatively simple front-end questions (using JS). Question 1: Implement Promise.all() by hand. I was a bit stumped. I do use Promise.all() occasionally, and I know what this method does and how to use it, but I'd never thought about how to implement it. Anyway, I had to figure it out on the spot. In the end, I had an idea, but I discovered a serious problem... I rely too much on my IDE when coding, and when I used the less intelligent Codepad, even the syntax was full of errors. I ended up writing a framework, but because of the unresolved syntax errors, it wouldn't run. Defeated. Afterwards, I searched online and found that my framework was indeed correct. In recent years, including when I was looking for full-time positions, I've interviewed for several front-end development roles. Overall, front-end interviews seem rather atypical, unlike the typical standardized/formulaic interview structures. They often feel more like team interviews, with varying formats. They generally directly test domain knowledge, and technical interviews often require writing JavaScript code. I recently got laid off, and I'm struggling to survive... It's so tough... I'd really appreciate any help, thank you!
