There aren't many complete SRE interview sets on this forum, so here's a complete one: (The interview was with USDS, which only hires green card holders and citizens, so I'm not planning to go. However, it's a great opportunity for qualified candidates to try their luck; it's really easy.) The interview group was a video interview with USDS:
Round 1 Recruiter Reachout --- Basic information, identity information
Round 2 Coding --- One medium-level question (I haven't practiced many questions, so I don't know if it was the original question). I was asked about DFS, other solutions included DP, time and space complexity, and we discussed scaling to scalability and whether to change the solution.
Round 3 Domain: Mainly assessing Kubernetes and cloud-related aspects, using ops steps to build a dashboard for monitoring and daily maintenance. It was basically troubleshooting based on work experience, not a formulaic interview.
Round 4 Hiring
Manager Background and three behavioral questions. They asked very detailed questions about the behavioral questions, so prepare your background thoroughly. The day after the interview, I was notified I
passed and we started discussing the offer. I decided to accept it in one business day.
Follow-up: I didn't go. They said the offer would be postponed for three months until I get my green card, since my I-485 is currently pending. I had originally planned to use it as a backup offer, but I decided not to accept it. Some key points: From my personal experience with the interview process, the interview was quite simple. There are many white people in the team, so the workload didn't feel too heavy. Although the waitlist wasn't particularly good, the atmosphere was okay, compared to the current market. Those with legal status can give it a try. Updates are hard work, please give me some points and likes!
