This was my first coding interview, and my performance was only so-so. The interviewer was quite serious throughout. They spent about 25 minutes asking questions related to my resume, including many formulaic ones. Then, I spent about half an hour on coding challenges, which was shorter than I expected. (The following content requires a score of 188 or higher to view) The challenge was LC399. After struggling through it, they asked about time and space complexity and gave me a hint to make a small modification. Overall, they seemed more interested in the thought process than the specific implementation of the code. However, the interviewer rarely gave positive feedback, only asking questions without providing feedback on my answers, which made me, a novice interviewer, very nervous. Overall, though, the coding challenge was smoother than the resume-digging process.
