Interview Experience
Hey everyone, Looking for some honest opinions because I’m definitely overthinking this. I had a final round interview on Tuesday and was told I’d hear back by the end of the week. Then I got this email from the hiring manager: “Hey, Hope all is well! Just a quick note saying I am off next week, if you need anything or any updates from the team, my colleague X, who is CC'd, will reach out. Catch you when I am back! Thanks,” No decision, no update on the role. I replied just saying thanks for letting me know. I also emailed the colleague who was CC’d yesterday afternoon with a polite follow-up asking if there were any updates, but I haven’t heard back yet. Now I’m sitting here wondering: * Is this a bad sign? * Does it mean they haven’t decided yet? * Or am I basically out and they’re just being polite? Would really appreciate any insight from people who’ve been on either side of hiring, I’m trying not to read too much into it but it’s tough at this stage. Update: didn't get the job.
