I'm an SWE intern, and I received an online assessment (OA) and a first-round phone interview. I'd appreciate some points for reading this post, thank you everyone!! The personality test was a 40-minute multiple-choice question about work, including single and multiple-answer questions. No camera was required, and it took about 30 minutes to complete. The OA consisted of four algorithm questions (I didn't encounter four levels of questions), lasting 70 minutes in total. Camera was required, and no specific score was given at the end. The first question was given as num = 1245, requiring a return value of 1 - 2 + 4 - 5. If num = 2346, the return value would be 2 - 3 + 4 - 6. Brute force

passed all tests. The second question was given as a list, requiring the finding of the highest point in the list, its removal, and the return of the removed sequence. Brute force

passed all tests. The third question was a matrix problem, requiring the return of the average of the regions in the matrix. The fourth question was a bit abstract and I didn't quite understand it. It was roughly given two lists, x and y. x and y have the same length. If x and y have a length of 2, we need to look at x[0]-y[0] ?= x[0]-y[0], x[0]-y[1] ?= x[1]-y[0], and x[1]-y[1] ?= x[1]-y[1]. If one of these three expressions satisfies return1, two satisfy return2, and three satisfy return3, then brute force can pass the first 10 examples, but the later examples will time out.
