I recently got an invitation for Shopify's 45-minute pair programming interview for their summer 2026 internship program, where interviewees take on a "real world challenge around object-oriented programming that you’ll take the lead on solving with your interviewer." Two questions: I wondering what I should expect from the interview in general (what exactly they're looking for, how I should approach the problem, etc.)? Second, they say this: "In fact, we strongly encourage you to leverage AI tools in this interview; it's a key skill that reflects our commitment to innovation at Shopify." I'm a bit confused on how exactly they want us to use AI during the interview - how much should I expect to have to rely on AI and in what ways?
