First off, I'm new to this subreddit and still new to Reddit in general; please bear with me if I'm not used to how subreddits work and what are some posts that are consistent with the subreddit. Over the Christmas holidays we have coming up, what I want to do is improve my resume and add something new to show more relevant skills to the recruiters. I've been searching for a job for six and a half months since I finished my bachelor's degree in software engineering, and I still don't have a job offer at all. To be honest, I've applied to over 1600 job postings since then, and I've only gotten 25 to 30 interviews. I am pondering about learning some new skills and practicing what I've learned through a side project. Still, what else can I do to really make myself stand out and be considered for interviews? I know some people have said not to write their real names on their Reddit accounts to prevent doxxing. Also, I'm not too sure about Reddit's content policy regarding personal information, as I think this subreddit surrounds job applications as well. For the purpose of this post, though, this is my LinkedIn profile: <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/gregorydesrosiers/.
