Hyped

I just had a phone screening interview with a tech company, for a position that really aligns with my professional experience. I had a really good rapport with the recruiter. Several times I gave answers and got variants of “that’s exactly what we’re looking for” in response. At the end of the call I got “you’re uniquely qualified for this role, in what is truthfully a small field of applicants”. I felt great An hour later I got a rejection notice. I feel like I’ve brushed off rejections in the past, but this one particularly stung because I got built up so high. Anyone else experience anything like this?
