I had been interviewing for weeks, even took time off work to attend these interviews. Everything looked promising until this morning when the hiring manager emailed me that they decided to go with someone else. This was not a director role, nor did it have direct reports so imo it didn’t call for this many interviews. Lesson learned and I will never do more than 3 interviews for a job.
