Reach out to hiring manager?
I received a coding assessment that I have to do with the camera turned on
Each week, for practice, I send out a programming interview question and CS topic review to a group of engineering friends. Anyone else want in?
Reach out to hiring manager?
Interview Experience
Hi everyone - I'm about 2 months into my job search and getting a lot of interview activity (which is great) but no offers yet (which is frustrating). I did something bad and got a big crush on one of the companies I interviewed with. I had several rounds, including an onsite. The hiring manager was very positive about me and my work experience- interestingly he also had me talk to a manager from another department "in case I would be a good fit there". Sadly it's been about 2 weeks and I haven't heard back, except a note from the recruiter (several days after I asked for an update) telling me that the hiring manager is still contemplating next steps. I feel at this point that I'm not the first choice for the role. Would it be appropriate to reach out directly to the hiring manager letting him know that I really want to work for the company and would be open to different roles? It is it too soon and I just need to be patient?
