Dinner interview… help???
Interview Experience
So basically I have a dinner interview for an entry level corporate job. I’ve done three rounds and all of them went really well including a take home project that I worked really hard on. I had good answers, everyone was laughing and getting along, I thought it was really successful. So let me get more in detail. Third interview was with higher ups and was the one I think I nailed the most. They had given me two dates to interview and I took the first day with the first opening. Like, they gave me Tuesday 11-3 and Wednesday 2-5 and I took Tuesday at 11 if that makes sense. I go in and it’s great. First thing in the morning (barely 7am) the day after (when there would presumably be more interviews with other candidates since I took the first day) my potential manager reaches out to me and says she’ll be in my city and only has one night available but would like to meet with me for a casual dinner to ask some more questions and get to know me. Other candidates would have to live in my city’s area because there is occasional commute into the city. If that’s her one night… she’s probably not meeting with any other potential candidates? So is this good lol? Some people said they were asked out to a dinner interview so that they can sus out the person’s vibes and then if all goes well by the end of it they get an offer. Given the details, what are we thinking? Not nervous about dinner itself, my potential manager and I get on very well. Just want some opinions on what you guys would think is going to happen for my own anxiety lol. More general info: newer but small-mid sized company looking to expand a ton over the next year with a lot of upwards potential. Potential manager seemed very pleased with my answers and we clicked crazy well during the second interview. Entry level position but I think they may be looking to take on people they see potential in so they can fill higher up positions internally as they expand. Just the vibe I got and my mom’s thoughts talking to me after. Thanks!! Would love to hear experiences and theories!
