Anyone else feel like their personality "disappears" during interviews?
Interview Experience
I have applied to over 140 jobs through CareerOne lately and finally managed to get around 10 interviews. Every time I walk into the room or join the Zoom call, I completely freeze up. In real life, I am pretty outgoing and easy to talk to, but as soon as the hiring manager asks a question, I turn into a boring robot. I give these short, stiff answers that make me sound like I have zero personality. It is so frustrating because I know I could do the work, but I just cannot seem to show them who I actually am. It feels like my brain just resets to factory settings under pressure. Does this happen to anyone else? How do you stay relaxed and sound like a normal human being during these talks?
