Company Profile: SquarePoint, formerly Barclays: centralized. Profit sharing is unclear, reportedly heavily influenced by French culture. Pay is average. Rapid expansion in the past two years; recent performance is unknown. Round 1: LeetCode - a bisection method problem to find the root, asking about complexity and faster solutions; a probability problem similar to dynamic programming; and OLS. Overall difficulty: medium. Rounds 2-4: Three different teams and offices interviewed me about my resume in great detail. There were also execution-related questions, such as whether Algo considered the peak trading volume of slippage during certain periods. Round 5 (Final Onsite): A dataset was used. Work started at 9 AM and continued until about 4 PM, followed by a presentation to the project manager. Some tasks involved implementing functions using pandas, and the main project involved predicting things using machine learning, similar to Kaggle. Overall difficulty: medium, focusing more on economic/financial interpretation than model complexity. There will also be a follow-up PM to chat and ask some behavioral questions. Other: The HR person is very nice and will explain the precautions and feedback from each interviewer in each round. There is a one-year cooling-off period.
