VO Rounds 5 The following content requires a score of 200 or higher. You can already view it. Programming: Email sub-question, an old question. The guy from abc was very nice. He spent the first 15 minutes guiding me through setting up the environment for the later rounds. After completing two questions, with 10 minutes left, he let me ask him questions. He didn't mention the third question at all. During testing, he only went off-topic with the given test cases and told me to verbally describe anything else I wanted to test. Debugging: Mako. I guess there are only two Python questions, Mako or Request. After quickly finishing the first two questions, I had 20 minutes left. The white guy spent a long time explaining the background story of the bug in the third question, saying it was a bonus. After that, he spent over ten minutes finding the bug, verbally explaining how to solve it, and then ran out of time. SD: Feature Flag. I prepared Ledger and this one in advance, and luckily, I got selected. The interviewer's reaction seemed pretty good. Integration: Bikemap. A Spanish guy. I finished the three questions in 50 minutes. When I asked him if there were any others, he said the rest were optional. He asked some follow-up questions, like how to optimize this code for production. I thought of async and chunking. (The question explicitly stated that the code should be usable in the long term, so I recommend starting with OOP.) HM: This was the first round interviewer. It was a standard behavioral question. He probably thought I was too verbose, so after I finished explaining based on STAR, he repeated a summary. Finally, I asked him what the hiring standards for Stripe were and what advice he had. After a long explanation, he said yours is pretty much correct, "Let the system do it's work." I don't know what he meant. It's been two weeks since the interview, and the follow-up recruiter keeps saying they'll contact me in a couple of days. If they were going to reject me, why didn't they say so sooner? 😑
