I was practicing coding problems online, and I initially wanted to use Q-squared, but couldn't figure it out in half a minute. The interviewer suggested using dynamic programming (DP), but I couldn't understand the DP derivation, and time was running out. There was no bug-free solution, and no time to test it. A little later offline, I figured out both Q-squared and DP. It wasn't actually difficult; I just had to be slow.
