I read so many interview experiences on the forum, and Airbnb's coding seems really difficult, haha. I stayed up all night memorizing answers 😂 Then the next day they gave me a new question (at least I hadn't seen it before): The input is an array of strings. The output needs to be: for each string, find the shortest substring, s.t. it can map to this string exactly. My brain wasn't very clear after staying up all night, and I was nervous seeing a new question, so my answer was mediocre;

my approach and code weren't very good. The Chinese female interviewer was very friendly and gave hints throughout the interview. I thought that even though I probably failed, at least the interviewer was nice, and the interview experience was pretty good. After the interview, although I was annoyed that I didn't perform well, I comforted myself that since Airbnb's senior role depends on your year of experience (I only have three years of experience), and I can only apply to G8 companies, while most other companies can match you to senior level, it doesn't matter if I failed. Unexpectedly, I received a move-forward email the next day! Thank you to the kind Chinese interviewer for being lenient! 😂
