True story I took the 7 hour night train in a sleeper car to the final interview for a new job. This was in the height of the very warm summer of 2025. I arrived early and decided to walk from the train station to the office. As I avoid elevators for health reasons I walked the stairs up to the 3rd floor, where the interview was. When entering the meeting room I realised the room was very hot and so was I after my walk and climbing the stairs. About 15 minutes into the meeting I started sweating profusely and it did not stop. After a few minutes my shirt was soaking wet and I had sweat dripping from my head onto my notes. At this point I excused myself and left for the toilet. Luckily I had my pajamas shirt in my bag after the night on the train, so I washed my face and dried myself, put the pajamas shirt on and returned to the meetingroom asking for forgiveness for the mess caused. At this point the interviewer told me their aircon had broken down a week ago and the were sorry for the inconvenience. I later the same day was introduced to my future colleagues over lunch still wearing that same pajamas... Apparently my quick recovery from a rather embarrasing crisis made a good impression, as I got the job.
