Hey everyone! I recently received an invitation to complete an online assessment for a C++ Software Engineer role at Hudson River Trading, and I’m excited (and a bit nervous) about what to expect. They specified that I must complete the test in

C++ only, so I'm preparing to refresh on C++-specific skills. From what I’ve gathered, I might need to focus on: *

Algorithms and Data Structures: Possibly arrays, linked lists, trees, graphs, and hashing techniques. Any specific recommendations for C++ nuances here? *

Math and Logic Problems: I know HRT likes candidates with strong analytical skills, so I’m guessing there might be puzzles or probability-related questions. Any tips for handling these? *

C++ Specific Skills: Since it's strictly in C++, I’m brushing up on memory management, pointers, and dynamic allocation. Should I expect questions involving STL or advanced C++11/14 features? Any advice on what to expect from HRT assessments or tips to brush up on in C++ would be awesome. Thanks in advance, and good luck to anyone else applying!
