I had one of the most unprofessional interview experiences at EXL Greater Noida and felt I should share it here. I had clearly told the consultant in advance that 12 pm was the only suitable time slot for me, given my own office commitments. She agreed at that time. On the day of the interview, I reached their office on time and reported at the reception. Finally, around 1 pm, someone came and spoke to me for just 15 minutes. After that, I was told to wait “just another 15 minutes” for the next round. That “15 minutes” stretched into 1.5 hours of waiting with zero communication. Instead of speaking to the senior manager and coordinating, the consultant kept telling me to “please take leave and wait” — as if I had no other work. I reminded her multiple times that I also had office commitments, but it was ignored. When the next interviewer finally came, there was no apology, no courtesy, nothing. Just casual attitude and complete disregard for the fact that I’d been sitting there without even food or water. By 2:57 pm, I decided to leave. Then at around 3 pm, the senior manager suddenly realised I was there for the interview and started calling me to check where I was. When I told him I had already left, his response was: “I told you to wait for some time.” To which I replied: “You said 15 minutes, not 1.5 hours — and still I waited patiently.” Honestly, this entire process at EXL was a reflection of pathetic candidate experience, no respect for time, no basic courtesy, and simple ignorance with attitude. It left me with a very poor impression of the company.
