Hey all, I just got off the phone with a recruiter who works for a company based in Dallas. About half an hour after the phone screen (which went very well), the recruiter contacts me and tells me the company can’t consider me for a technical interview because “I was just told that they are now only considering candidates that have a degree from a TOP 30 school in the US.” I’ve only just started applying for full-time positions. Are superficial things like this the norm? I've ran into some questionable practices during my job searches in the past, but nothing to this extent.
