EDIT: Thanks if you took the time to read. I got an email saying they hadn't heard back and if I had any questions. It looks like possibly I got caught in their spam filter. Woo! ---- I was recently invited to an onsite interview at one of the "big" tech companies in the Bay Area. By "invited" I mean just that - I received the email invitation and introduction to the recruiter. They asked me to send some dates to get things rolling. I responded a bit indirectly, suggesting some possible dates but saying I didn't quite want to finalize them because it will involve travel and I wanted to chat a bit before doing so. I did wonder if this is a faux pas in any way, to try to steer the conversation rather than follow, right off the bat, but I don't know... thoughts? Now I'm slightly worried because it's been 1.5-2 days and I haven't gotten a response of any kind. I just get a weird feeling about it. One thing I wonder is if they didn't realize that I am remote, or were just reminded, because it DID come up before in the past. And that is relevant because maybe being remote makes me a bigger investment. I don't know. It's also very possible that I'm overreacting to a slight delay. Is 2 days normal to get no response (side note: I did also follow up, a few hours ago) or does this indicate an issue? Thanks for any responses!
